Heartwood is the new alternative to the standard rubber mats currently being used for starting weaned pigs. Disease organisms can remain in the fabric of a traditional rubber mat even after washing, sanitizing and drying. 

Heartwood products are designed to break the disease cycle by starting new pigs with a fresh, clean mat.   Produced from 100% organic materials consisting of 50% cornstalks and 50% wood mulch.
